Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a different effect of repeatedly memorizing form than a conventional effect by providing a composition consisting of a prescribed amount of Ni and Ti or contg. Co and Fe substituted for Ni or V, Cr and Mn substituted for Ti or a composition consisting of a prescribed amount of Fe as the base and the balance Mn, Ni or Pt.
CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to an alloy consisting of 45W52at% Ni and the balance Ti or contg. Co and/or Fe substituted for part or all of the Ni or 10at% V, 2at% Cr and 3at% Mn substituted for part of the Ti. This invention relates further to an alloy having a composition consisting of 70W90mt% Fe and the balance Mn, 66W95mt% Fe and the balance Ni or 40W54mt% Fe and the balance Pt. Unlike a conventional alloy, each of these alloys can repeat forms before and after deformation or plastic strain perfectly or partially through the cycle of heating and cooling.
