Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small but high powered solenoid, by a method wherein exciting coils are wound around a non-magnetic guide cylinder which convers a cylindrical plunger made of soft magnetic material and the coil is covered by a yoke piece and a donut-shaped permanent magnet which is magnetized in the axial direction is placed between the bottom surface of that yoke piece and a pole piece on which the guide cylinder is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A cylinderical plunger 1 made of soft magnetic material is inserted into a non-magnetic guide cylinder 2 in such a manner that it can freely slide inside the guide cylinder 2. The bottom 3 of the guide cylinder 2 is mounted on the center of a pole piece disc 4 made of soft magnetic material. Then exciting coil 5a and 5b for attaction and recovery of the plunger 1 are wound around the guide cylinder 2 and the coils are covered by a yoke piece 6. A donut-shaped permanent magnet 7 made of anisotropic magnetic material is placed between the bottom surface of the yoke piece 6 and the surface of the pole piece 4. With above method a solenoid which has small dimensions, high-power, large attraction force and little tendency of declining of magnetism can be obtained.
