Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily set the ratio at which light is branched from an optical data way to an arbitrary terminal and transmit light from the terminal to the data way without any loss by providing a reflecting mirror covering part of the optical path movably in the optical path. CONSTITUTION:Light out from an optical fiber 1 is converted to parallel light by a convergent type rod lens 11 and is branched to reflected light and rectilinear light by a reflecting mirror placed in a position covering part of an optical path. The reflected light is coupled to an optical fiber 3 via a rod lens 13 and is received in a receiver 6R. The rectilinear light is coupled to an optical fiber 2 via a rod lens 12. Also, the light out from a transmitter 6T is mostly reflected by a reflecting mirror 25 and coupled to the optical fiber 2. If the position of a reflecting mirror 25 is moved in the direction aligning to the specular surface of the reflecting mirror like an arrow, the branching ratio of the reflected light and the rectilinear light is easily changed.
