Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a car mounting and portable type device with small size and low power consumption in which failure is seldom taken place, by taking the main part of a portable antenna as an inner conductor, containing it in the cylinder functioning as an external conductor and connecting a portable type radio device to an antenna with a contact piece, in switching the portable type radio device to a car mounting antenna. CONSTITUTION:Ring shaped contacts 24, 25 are fitted to the tip and the base in a portable type antenna 23, and the antenna 23 is in use by contacting with the contact pieces 25, 26 in connection with a radio equipment 22. In connecting a car mounting and portable type device 21 to a car mounting antenna 31 via a plug 29 and a car mounting adaptor 30, the antenna 23 is contained in a cylinder 27 to make it as an inner conductor 23' of the coaxial line and the cylinder 27 is used as an external conductor. With the contact 24 in contact with the contact piece 26, the contact 25 is brought into contact with contact within a contact piece 28 connected with a car mounting antenna 31 via a plug 29. Thus, since no relay for antenna switching is provided, a portable and car mounting radio device which is of small size and less in power consumption and in which failures is seldom taken place, can be achieved.
