Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a noise signal from being generated, by providing a number of light transmittable slits in a rotor and transferring light generated by means of a light emitting element via optical fibers to a light-receiving element to permit a pulse signal to be generated. CONSTITUTION:A number of rectangular windows 13 are bored at regular intervals in the circumferential direction in an annular cylinder part 12 of a rotor, and the windows 13 form slits. In a detecting part 14, end parts of the first optical fiber 16 and the second optical fiber 17 are embedded. Further, a light-emitting diode 20 as a light-emitting element is connected with a wiring 23 and a photodiode 24 as a light-receiving element is connected to a wiring 22 with its plus terminal. In this way, since light passing through said slits is transmitted to the light-receiving element via the second optical fiber to permit a pulse signal to be generated, there is no possibility to generate a noise signal by a mechanical impact of the rotor at all.
