Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the steering center position from being influenced by fluctuation of a steering wheel while the vehicle is running, by detecting the steering center position through electric circuit means. CONSTITUTION:A voltage corresponding to the steering angle center is detected by a sensor 7, and is inputted into amplifiers 8, 9, 10. As the electric potential at a point (a) is zero at this time, output is gradually produced from the amplifier 8, and this output enters as a terminal voltage of a resistor 31 a plus terminal of a comparator 14. When this voltage has become larger than a prescribed voltage set at another terminal as a blind zone, the comparator 14 outputs a higher level of output to switch a switch 17 ON, and the detected voltage of the sensor 7 is stored through the output of the amplifier 10 in a capacitor 18 by the charging effect, and results as the electric potential of the point (a) through the amplifier 11. When the electric potential of the point (a) has been equal to the detected voltage of the sensor 7, the output of the amplifier 8 becomes a low level to turn the switch 17 OFF.
