Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve film quality of an obtained anodic oxidation film and contrive to make the quality uniform by a method wherein Al to be treated is connected to an anode side and, thereafter, a distance between both anode and cathode wherein a distance therebetween is made variable is adjusted to subject the aforementioned Al to anodic oxidation treatment at a constant voltage and a constant current density.
CONSTITUTION: Corresponding to a treating area of an Al product to be subjected to anodic oxidation connected to a side of an anode 4, a variable resistor of a current setting instrument 10 and a voltage setting instrument 11 is mainpulated to set current and voltage suitable for said product. Then, D.C. voltage rectified by a rectifier elememt 7 is applied to both cathode and anode 2, 3, 4 as well as the applied current and voltage values are applied to a control part 9. During this time, when difference is generated between the electrolytic voltage applied between both electrodes 2, 3, 4 and the voltage value set by the setting instrument 11, the control part 9 detects the variation thereof to increase or decrease a distance between the cathodes 2, 3 and the anode 4. As the result, an anodic oxidation film having constant quality is formed on a surface of the Al product at all times.
