Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a permanent magnet with a pertinent magnetic characteristics at a low cost by mixing two or more kinds of magnetic powders with varied magnetic characteristics in such a manner as to be adjusted in the mixing ratio.
CONSTITUTION: In a permanent magnet requiring a powder molding, two or more kinds of magnetic powders with varied magnetic characteristics, namely, a ferrite- based powder and a rare earth-cobalt based powder, are mixed and adjusted in the mixing ratio. Thus, a permanent magnet having an intermediate performance between the ferrite powder and rare earth-cobalt based versions can be produced at a lower cost than the rare earth-cobalt based magnet. Also in the rare earht-cobalt based magnet, two ore more kinds of powders at its upper limit on one hand and at its lower limit on the other cab be mixed to control variations in the performance.
