Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent decrease in output and increase in burning noise in such a way that in an engine to use mixed fuel of alcohol and gasoline when alcoholic concentration becomes more than the determined value, the auxiliary ignition plug is put to work in addition to the main ignition plug. CONSTITUTION:The main ignition pulg 10 which works in the full driving range of the engine is provided penetrating through the cylinder head 4. Besides, an auxiliary ignition plug 11 is provided to work when a alcoholic concentration in the mixed fuel becomes more than the determined value, the plugs 10, 11 are connected to the ignition circuit 12, and controlled to be ignited. On another hand, an alcoholic concentration sensor 13 is provided in a float chamber 8a, when the alcoholic concentration is more than the determined value, the plug 11 is put to work. In consequence, when the alcoholic concentration in the fuel feeding device 8 is smaller than the determined value, though without action of the plug 11 by a controller 14 which receives output of a sensor 13, ignition is performed by only the plug 10, in case where the alcoholic concentration is more than the determined value, the plug 11 works, ignition is done by the two plugs so that the combustion speed can be hastened.
