CONSTITUTION:Zener voltage VZ3 of a Zener diode (ZD) 3 and Zener voltage VZ7 of a ZD7 are selected as VZ3>VZ7, and in case when analog input voltage is <VZ7, no current flows to a light emission diode 6a. Accordingly, an output of an amplirier 11 becomes, for instance, logical ''0''. When the analog input voltage becomes >VZ7, a currnt flows to the light emission siode 6a, which emits a light beam, and a phototransistor 6b is turned on, therefore, and output of the amplifier 11 becomes logical ''1''. In case when the analog input voltage has become >VZ3, the ZD3 is turned on, and the input voltage comes to be limited by VZ3, therefore, no excess current flows to the light emission diode 6a.
