CONSTITUTION: In an aqueous solution of ferric chloride of 8W95°C and of 1.5W 24wt% concn., electrolyzing by serving a stainless steel for an anode and through applying DC current of 0.8W20A/dm2 current density for 10W120min, then pitting corrosion is carried out into the stainless steel. Further, it is possible to carry out, in the case of need, either roughing a surface of a green part by chemical etching or by mechanical grinding or coating an oxidized film or a chemical conversion film onto said surface by short time heating in an oxidizing atmosphere or by chemical conversion treatment.
