Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the life of a stylus by making a sharp and deep groove by providing two layers and a top photoresist layer on a glass plate and by etching them successively. CONSTITUTION:On a glass plate 1, the 1st thick layer 2 made of SiO2 and the 2nd thin layer 3 made of Al on it are formed, and on it, a thin photoresist film 4 is coated. Then, the photoresist exposed spirally to laser light is developed to form (b) a spiral groove. This photoresist layer is used as a mask to etch the 2nd layer, thereby forming (c) a shallow groove in the 2nd layer. Further, this is used as a mask for the plasma etching of the 1st layer over control over the inclination of a groove to make a deep groove, and the 2nd layer is removed to obtain an abrasive original disk having a sharp, steep and deep spiral groove.
