Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify an operation, by detecting as it is a shape of a projection image by use of a detector consisting of a two-dimensional sensor for detecting a projection image of a mask pattern in the plane meeting at right angles with respect to an optical axis. CONSTITUTION:A light beam from a light source 1 is made to a collimated luminous flux by a collimator lens 2, and is made incident to a mask 4 which has been placed vertically to its optical axis. A lens 3 to be detected is placed between the collimator lens 2 and the mask 4, and an incident luminous flux from the collimater lens 2 is deflected in accordance with refractive force of the lens 3 to be detected. In this case, a luminous flux from the lens 3 to be detected, having a circular port or a port which has combined a straight line is selectively transmitted by the maks 4. In the direction of the optical axis from the lens 3 to be detected, a two-dimensional sensor 5 is placed within the shortest focal length, a detection signal from this sensor 5 is provided to an operating circuit 9 through an amplifier 8, and a value indicating the refractive force of the lens 3 to be detected, which has been obtained by a necessary operation is displayed on a display device 10.
