Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of solar energy collection by making a flow passage forming member to be placed on a solar energy collecting plate in which a fluid flow passage is provided for a heat carrying fluid to pass through of a material the transmittance of which has a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: The solar energy collecting device comprises a heat insulative material 2 such as glass wool filled at the inner bottom of a boxlike vessel 1, a reflecting material 3 such as aluminum film to cover the insulative material 1, and a plurality of fluid passages 4 comprising metal pipes and the like through which a heat carrying fluid such as water, air and Freon gas flows and arranged in parallel on the reflecting material 3. The surface of the fluid passages 4 is painted with a black paint or coated with a heat collecting material 5 having a surface to selectively absorb the sun beams, and above it, the flow passage forming member 7 is arranged. In this instance, the flow passage forming member 7 is made of, for example, a transparent acrylic material which shows such a characteristic that the overall transparency of the energy of sun beam with respect to the heat carrying fluid and flow passage forming member is more than 0.65 and the transparency of heat ray of a wave length of 2W30μ is less than 0.2.
