Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the fluctuation in torque which acts to the two crankshafts of a hot gas engine, by providing the crankshafts with flywheels. CONSTITUTION:A hot gas engine, in which four cylinders are connected to each other, includes two parallel crankshafts 8, 9 which are interlocked with each other through gears 10 to drive pistons back and forth in the cylinders. In conventional hot gas engines, gears could make noises and be damaged because of the fluctuation in torque. In the hot gas engine accoding to the present invention, the fluctuation in torque is reduced by providing flywheels 11, 11 on the crankshafts 8, 9.
