Abstract

1,250,729. Balancing. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. M. B. H. June 18, 1970 [June 20, 1969], No.29596/70. Heading F1M. In a reciprocating piston engine, particularly an internal-combustion engine, including a crankshaft and two rotatable eccentric weights 9, 10 arranged to counterbalance the inertia forces of the engine, each eccentric weight is carried by a respective one of two gear-wheels 4, 5 and one gear-wheel is arranged to be driven by a gear-wheel mounted on the crank-shaft and the other gear-wheel is arranged to be driven by the one gear-wheel. At least one of the gear-wheels includes a torsion resilient element 16 located between the hub of the wheel and its toothed rim 15.
