Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an austenite stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance at high temp., enhanced creep strength and enhanced hot workability by preparing a steel contg. a specified percentage of Mo, Ti, Nb, C, Si, Mn, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A steel is prepared consisting of, by wt., at least one of 2.00W 3.00% Mo, 0.4W0.6% Ti and 0.8W1.0% Nb, ≤0.08% C, ≤0.75% Si, ≤2.00% Mn, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.03% S, 16.00W18.00% Cr, 11.00W14.00% Ni, 0.002W 0.130% Cl and the balance Fe. This steel is used as a material for a hot corrosive environment such as a material for the superheater of a boiler for steam power generation.
