Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an inside electrode, for use with electrostatic capacity type fuel flow meter oscillator and the like, which is manufactured in a simple process and a short time and has a sufficient strength, by a method wherein a thin plating layer is formed on an outer circumference of a plastic cylinder by an electrolytic or electroless plating. CONSTITUTION:An inside electrode 3 is produced such that, although staged parts, such as 1a and 1b, corresponding to a receptacle are formed on a plastic cylinder 1 being formed in a shape in which a change in the electrostatic capacity of the receptacle proportions to a change in a residual capacity, a plating layer 2, in which Ni, etc. is plated in a thin thickness of to the degree of 10mu by a electroless plating method but is of a better quality, is formed on the outer circumference of the cylinder 1 without finishing the staged parts 1a and 1b into a taper state. If the cylinder 1 is of a conductive plastic, the layer 2 can be formed by an electrolytic plating method. This enables an easy production of the inside electrode 3 at an inexpensive cost.
