Abstract

PURPOSE: To recover gaseous hydrogen chloride efficiently by supplying waste hydrochloric acids into a reactor simultaneously from the lower and upper part of the reactor and spraying the waste hydrochloric acids onto fluidized iron oxide beds in supplying the same from the upper part.
CONSTITUTION: The waste hydrochloric acids concd. by a Venturi scrubber 4 are branched to the upper liquid feed piping 23 and lower liquid feed piping 24 to a reactor 1 through a liquid supply tank 6, and are supplied to the lower and lower parts respectively of the reactor 1. The waste hydrochloric acids from the piping 23 are sprayed toward the fluidized beds in the reactor 1 through a nozzle 25. The nozzle 25 is required to be so designed that the waste hydrochloric acids are sprayed uniformly toward the fluidized beds. For example, the one having a closed leading end part and provided with plural holes on the side faces is suitable. The ratios of the waste hydrochloric acids to be supplied from the upper parts are preferably about ≤1/5W1/10 those from the lower part.
