Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the adjustment accuracy and reduce the working fatigue of workers by determining the position of the gravity center in the closed curved surface of equal intensity of illumination over a fixed level with the quantification of the light distribution pattern in a head light. CONSTITUTION:A TV camera 1 for measuring the car height takes a light from a head light 7a (7b) when a photoelectric switch 5 detects the arrival of a car at the inspection position and the position of the gravity center is displayed on a monitor TV10 for the image of the light. Light of the head light is irradiated on screens 9a and 9b and taken with TV cameras 2a and 2b by treatment of image by binary coding with a measuring device 3 and the results are displayed on monitor TVs 4a and 4b. When a worker depresses switches 8a and 8b, + mark in the TVs displayed on the position of the gravity center in the TVs 4a and 4b and adjustment is made checking to see if the + mark enters a window in the acceptance range determined by the previous measurment of the car height.
