Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a circuit and to prevent the overvoltage of an ON circuit, by supplying the output of a chopper circuit to the primary side and turning on and off an optional rectifying circuit which rectifies plural ACs given from secondary side with the switching control signal. CONSTITUTION:A DC input is chopped 18 to be supplied to the primary side of a transformer 20. The output of the 1st secondary winding of a transformer 20 is rectified and smoothed 32a through a thyristor 40 to be supplied to a load. A circuit by which the thyristor 40 has the switching is added to cut off the load current to the load 12. The switching control signal 100 that turns on and off a rectifying circuit 24a is supplied to the base of a transistor 48 via a resistance 50. Thus the thyristor 40 is adversely biased to be turned off, and the adverse bias state is released to reset the thyristor 40 to the diode operation. As a result, an optional load current can be selectively turned on and off through a simple constitution of circuit to prevent the danger of voltage rise for a rectifying capacitor at a no-load part.
