Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove voids and cavities interposing near material surfaces microscopically by containing a spray coated material in a pressure vessel, heating the surface to be treated by high frequency induction heating or the like and applying hydrostatic pressure thereto with an inert gas or the like as a pressure medium. CONSTITUTION:A treating body 2 formed with, for example, a Cu coating layer by a powder melt spraying method is contained in a pressure vessel 1, and the air in the vessel 1 is substituted with an inert gas from a high pressure gas supply source 3. Next, only the surface to be treated of the body 2 is kept in a heated state by an electric power source 4 of a high frequency induction heater or a laser beam device in accordance with a heating sensor 5, and the inert gas in the vessel 1 is pressurized by a compressor 6 up to prescribed pressure, whereby hydrostatic pressure is applied upon the surface to be treated of the body 2 by the inert gas as a pressure medium.
