Abstract

PURPOSE: To effectively recover sensible heat of hot waste gas from the ore discharging section of a Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine by sucking the gas from descending pipes under wind boxes, removing dust, recovering waste heat, compressing the gas, and feeding it to a main duct.
CONSTITUTION: During the operation of said sintering machine, hot waste gas sucked from pellets passing through the ore discharging section 10 is fed to suction pipes 18, 18 through wind boxes 7, 7 and descending pipes 8, 8, and it is immediately passed through dust collectors 16, 16 to remove dust. The dust removed waste gas is passed through a heat recovering apparatus 15 to recover sensible heat of the gas, and the temp. of the gas is dropped. This waste gas is fed to an exhaust duct 19, compressed to a necessary pressure with a booth 20 in the duct 19, fed to a main duct and exhausted into the air through a main exhaust fan 11 and a dust 9, collector 12. This recovering method for waste heat is applicable relatively simply even to existing sintering equipment.
