Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a rotor from causing large drug torque, by resetting a caliper, moved at brake operation, together with the second sleeve and removing the strong contact of an outer pad to a rotor surface after release of pressure.
CONSTITUTION: Elastic members 14, 14' are compressed respectively by smaller force than friction resistance between the second sleeve 12 and a sealed part 20 of boots 16, 16' and elastically deformed. In consequence, at brake operation, the second sleeves 12, 12' are moved rightward with a caliper 2 to compress the elastic members 14, 14' and cause elastic deformation, as a result restoring force of the elastic member acts on the sleeves 12, 12', then the caliper 2 is press returned at release of pressure to the former position with the second sleeve. In this way, the strong contact of an outer pad 4' to a rotor surface after release of pressure can be removed to prevent occurrence of large drag torque in a rotor D.
