Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare apple pulp having a high purity of pulp, by adding a polar organic solvent to a wet substance of raw apple pulp which is previously squeezed, followed by squeezing it again.
CONSTITUTION: Fresh apples are crushed, water is added to the juice resideu which has been squeezed out, the rind, core, etc. of apple are removed by a pulper finisher, or the rind, core, etc. are removed previously and squeezed to give a wet substance, to which ≥10wt% alcohol, acetone, etc. is added. The prepared substance is squeezed again, and the remaining pulp substance is dried by warm air to give apple pulp.
