Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a heat accumulating composition having low degree of super-cooling, and capable of accumulating and releasing heat at a proper temperature, by adding aluminum ammonium sulfate to calcium chloride hexahydrate.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100pt.wt. of calcium chloride hexahydrate with (B) preferably 1W20pt.wt. of aluminum sulfate[NH4Al(SO4)2], and if necessary, (C) other additives such as nucleating agent, gelatinizing agent, thickening agent, etc. The component (B) is preferably dodecahydrate.
