Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the releasing of sludge into treated water by using this for treatment of stable waste water, etc., aerating the circulating sludge bed of a solid-liquid sepn. part cyclically, overflowing the sludge from a baffle and circulating the same uniformly through a communicating passage and a flow regulating plate.
CONSTITUTION: The greater part of the polluted matter of the sewage dispersing and flowing into an aeration tank 2 is adsorbed by the activated sludge circulating through the tank 2→ a forced out water flow passage 3→ the tank 2, and the treated water flows through the passage 3 then through a communicating passage 18 at the bottom end of a baffle 17 and enters a sepn. tank 4 after the flow is regulated uniformly over the entire length by a flow regulating plate 34. Further, this water circulates through the tank 4→ an aeration cylinder 20→ overflow from the baffle 17→ the passage 3→ the tank 4 to receive the treatment of the 2nd stage. Thereafter it is released from a circulating sludge bed 24 to the outside through a supernatant part 23. The plate 34 is made movable and the rate of inflow ins averaged automatically by the restriction by this plate. The excess sludge is withdrawn from the tank 4 into another sludge concentrating tank 31 by operating an excess sludge withdrawing pump 30.
