Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify forging process and increase yield by deforming the material by forging, sticking fast to a porter bar, carrying the material to next process keeping the state of adhesion, and forging at the same time. CONSTITUTION:The material 33 is inserted into a die 29 for the first process. Axial force of a punch 25 is received by a porter bar 34 smaller in diameter than the material 33. At the same time, the material 33 is deformed by forging and stuck fast to the axial force receiving end of the porter bar 34 to form the first intermediate forged product 33a. The first intermediate forged product 33a is moved laterally from the die 29, and inserted into a die 30 for the second process, and the second intermediate forged product 33b is formed by expanding the outer diameter. Then, the third intermediate forged product 33c is formed by forging to a bottomed cylindrical body in a die 31 for the third process. Similarey, the third intermediate forged product 33c is taken out of the die 31 for the third process together with the porter bar 34 and held in a blanking die 32. The bottom is blanked by a blanking punch 28 and at the same time, the porter bar is separated from the material 33. Dust formed by blanking is removed and final forged product 33d is formed.
