Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate an diesel engine equipped with a Bosch type fuel injection pump in good working condition even at various altitude, by connecting a control link, which reacts on the expansion of a bellows type atmosphere pressure detector, to the injection pump. CONSTITUTION:In a power unit device, Bosch type fuel injection pump 1 is linked with a volume-variable oil pressure pump 22. A control link 36, which reacts on the expansion of a bellows type atmospheric pressure detector 24, is connected to both a control rack 15 of an injection pump 1 and a spring regulating link 35 for a pressure reducing valve 21. As the atmospheric pressure goes down, the amount of a fuel injection is decreased via a control rack 15, while the flow rate of a volume-variable oil pressure pump 22 is also decreased. With these contrivances, a diesel engine can be operated in good condition at various altitude without adjusting an oil pressure pump, and the problems on exhaust gas as well as the output drop can be prevented.
