Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Fuel chamber 2 and diaphragm operated atmosphere chamber 3 are separated by a diaphragm 1. The negative suction pressure generated in an intake cylinder 10 is transferred to the fuel chamber 2 through a nozzle 9, and the fuel in the chamber 2 is supplied from nozzle 9. An air flow regulator 12 equipped on the bottom of atmosphere chamber 3 consists of bellows 18 and an air flow regulator needle valve 19, which closes air passage 16 by expansion of bellows 18. A portion of intake cylinder 10 in the upstream of throttle valve 11 is connected to the atmosphere chamber 3 through an air passage 22. Accordingly, at a high altitude, the bellows 18 closes the air passage 16 and introduces the negative pressure in intake cylinder 10 into the atmosphere chamber 3, resulting in reduced displacement of the diaphragm 1.
