Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption, by cutting off the power supply with a signal accompanied with the processing end of a CPU when the CPU terminates all processings after turning off an external operation switch. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition switch 16 is turned on, an FF19 is set by a ''1'' signal accompanied with this turn-on operation, and transistors TRs 11 and 12 are turned on by the ''1'' Q output. Therefore, the power source voltage from a battery 9 is supplied to start a CPU1. When the switch 16 is turned off in accordance with the running stop of a car, the CPU1 not only writes processing data in a RAM 3 but also outputs a ''1'' signal to an external output terminal P2 of a programmable input/output port 4 when the CPU1 terminates all processings after discriminating that signals inputted to external input terminals P0 and P1 of the port 4 are ''0''. The FF19 is reset by this outputted signal, and therefore, TRs 11 and 12 are turned off to cut off the power supply of the battery 9.
