Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize labor saving of the Braun tube manufacturing, and enable an efficient utilization of space by simultaneously performing the high-frequency heating treatments and the explosion-proof treatments of a shield ring and the getter of a Braun tube. CONSTITUTION:After a Braun tube 7 is placed on a movable frame 13 of a tension band clamping equipment 11, a rim band 9 is attached to the Braun tube 7. Next, a tension band 10 drawn out of a spool 24 by means of a supply equipment 22 is made to go around the Braun tube 7 twice, the rim band 9 as well as the front peripheral side of the Braun tube 7 are clamped with the band 10 by the operation of a tension equipment 23, and the part of the band 10 which is superposed on the Braun tube 7 is welded to the tube 7 through the operation of a welding equipment 18. Then, a getter heating mold 46 and a shield ring heating mold 51 are attached to the tube 7. After that, high-frequency waves are introduced into the molds 46 and 51 through feeders 53 and 54 by the operation of high-frequency generators 56 and 57, thereby making a getter 4 to be evaporated with Joule heat and making a bead glass 5 and the electrode of an electron gun 1 to be connected with a shield ring 6.
