Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the softness and workability after rolling by adding prescribed amounts of C, Mn, P and N to Fe.
CONSTITUTION: The titled wire rod consists of 0.02W0.25% C, ≤0.7% Mn, ≤ 0.015% P, ≤0.002% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. Steel having said composition is refined and hot rolled as rimmed steel or capped steel. The resulting rolled steel is soft and advantageous in cost, and it has superior surface properties, drawability and cold workability.
