Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily obtain a uniform and good image, by controlling application voltage in accordance with the suspension time of a photoreceptor, and uniformly charging the photoreceptor before repeating formation of electrostatic latent images. CONSTITUTION:Charge remaining on a photosensitive drum 1 having a surface insulating layer is removed with a destaticizer 12, the drum 1 is exposed to a light image sent from a light source 11, and uniformly charged by controlling application voltage of a primary corona discharger 13 to correct change of a latent image potential. It is imagewise exposed 14 at the same time as charged to a reverse polarity to that of the primary corona discharge with a secondary corona discharger 15. It is uniformly illuminated with a uniform exposure light source 16 to form an electrostatic latent image, which is developed with a developing device 17, the developed image is transferred to a transfer material 20 with a transfer corona discharger 18, and the developer remaining on the drum 1 is removed with a cleaning means 19.
