Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain metallic foil having fixed longitudinal thickness by making speed control rough adjustment and tension control fine adjustment, and controlling by changing these to an optimum state of rolling. CONSTITUTION:A rolled stock of Al etc. is uncoiled from a uncoiling reel 3 or from 3 and 2 simultaneously, and rolled by a rolling mill 1. The actual result is measured by a thickness meter 6 and coiled to a reel 4. Reels 2-4 and the rolling mill 1 are driven by motors 7. Motors 7a, 7b are controlled by tension controlling devices 13a, 13b, and a motor 7c is controlled by a speed controlling device 12. A controlling arithmetic device 8 makes proportional integration control from output deviation of the thickness meter 6 and data from a setting device 9. The output is given to devices 12, 13a, 13b through changeover devices 10, and a changeover device 10a changes output of devices 12, 13a, 13b at gates 10b-10d by a tension inputting device 11. The devices 13a, 13b receive setting values of finished thickness and width inputting devices 15, 16 and optimize the control gain by output of an arithmetic device 14 for correcting gain of the devices 13a, 13b.
