Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform reasonable, correct tensional operation as well as to easily attain tensional operation by means of automating the tensional operation of an endless belt conveyor using driving force of a belt conveyor driving gear.
CONSTITUTION: In an endless belt apparatus which has a belt 13 wound around between upper and lower pulleys 9, when the belt 13 is elongated, or when the tension comes into a shortage, the belt 13 is slipped, and idle turning is caused on the pulley 9 which is the upper motor pulley. In result, reaction force to the turning force is applied to a shaft 17, the shaft 17 is turned in the direction (A). Thereupon, the turning force is transferred through bevel gears 39, 31 to a screw shaft 35, it is relatively moved from a supporting member 25 by means of turning in the direction B of the screw shaft 35, and a bearing 21 is sent up along a guide member 23. In consequence, the motor pulley 9 is moved upward through the shaft 17, and the belt 13 is properly tensed.
