Abstract
PURPOSE: To offer a safety device to stop the revolution of a pulley driving a transmission member such as a belt for a travelling head, in an automatic draughter machine for ex., when this transmission member is broken off or going to be broken.
CONSTITUTION: When a X-motor 4, in an automatic draughter machine, is put into operation in such a mode as to move, through the shaft 10', the belts 14, 15 leftward with the aid of pulleys 10, 11 the X-cursors 8, 8' move leftward, causing an interlocked Y-coordinate lever's 26 shift, and the y-cursor 27 and the head 28 move in the axial direction of the X-coordinate in a supporting plane, outside the illustration. When the Y-motor 6 is then put into operation the head 28 moves along the Y-coordinate lever 26, driven through a gear 18', a spline shaft 17, a pulley 18, and a belt 24. In case the belt 14 is broken off during draughting work, a supporting plate 52 shifts to left by the action of the spring's 58 force and a roller 12 interlocked with it actuates the limit switch 62 to stop the motors 4, 6. Thus the draughting work can be abrupted.
