Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a compact improved ground, by providing a partition plate in the excavated groove and applying vibration after filling back the improved soil in the excavated soil compacting method for a ground improving machine in which improved soil is filled back continuously while carrying out excavation of the ground.
CONSTITUTION: Ground A is excavated by excavating blades 14 with chain scraper 12 being shifted downward. As crawler 11 is moved forward while driving chain scraper 12, excavated soil is carried upward into sand receptacle 22, converted into improved soil in mixing means 24, carried on conveyor 27, and put back along the rear surface of partition plate 15 from outlet port 26. Here, the partition plate 15 is vibrated by vibrator 17 for removing voids in improved soil C. Improved ground B is formed by moving the crawler 11 forward while compacting the improved soil, and filling back the improved soil C successively into the space formed between partition plate 15 and improved ground B previously filled back to the original position.
