Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a creaking noise due to friction between the cushioning body and a S-spring, by forming the cushioning body from a foamed body layer having a hollow section and a surface material layered thereon, and fitting the cushioning member into the hollow section. CONSTITUTION:The surface material 2 is placed on a lower mold 1, a foamable synthetic resin liquid 3 is charged onto the parts of the surface material 2 corresponding to the recesses in the lower mold 1, an upper mold 4 is mated with the lower mold 1 with the projection 6 of the upper mold 4 pressing the surface material 2, and they are heated to foam the resin, so that the cushioning body is produced which has the hollow section 7 and the surface material 2 layered on the foamed body layer 5. The cushioning member 9 having approximately the same configuration as that of the hollow section 7 is fitted and adhered into the hollow section 7 of the cushioning body. Thus, as no releasing agent is present on the part of the cushioning body in contact with the S spring, the cushion that is freed from a rubbing noise generated by friction of the S-spring with the cushioning body can be obtained.
