Various pad materials have conventionally existed, but when hot pressing an elastic chip to obtain a pad material made of an elastic material in a desired shape, variations in hardness tend to occur, making it difficult to manage the material of the elastic chip. In addition, the surface feel was poor, and the molding was prone to sagging and deformation due to long-term use after molding.

Next, an outline of an embodiment of the process of forming the pad material of the sheet cushion according to the present invention will be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. First, urethane foam, etc. A predetermined amount of an elastic chip 2' made of an unvulcanized small piece of synthetic resin material is inserted. A suitable binder may be added to the elastic chip 2' to increase the adhesive force.
Next, the elastic chip 2' inserted into the lower mold 12 is heated and pressed into a desired shape by the upper mold 13 and the lower mold 12 under predetermined hot pressing conditions to form the lower elastic body 2. A plurality of protrusions 13a are formed on the upper mold 13 at appropriate intervals, and the protrusions 1
3a, a recess 7 is formed in the part facing the protrusion 13a of the elastic chip 2' inserted into the lower mold 12, and this recess 7 is crushed more strongly than other parts. Therefore, this protrusion 13a
The recessed portion 7 formed by being crushed by the lower elastic body 2 is formed to be harder than other portions of the lower elastic body 2. The hardness of the recess 7 can be adjusted as appropriate depending on the size of the protrusion 13a and the clearance of the mold.

Next, an upper elastic body 3 previously formed of foamed synthetic resin or the like is integrally laminated on top of the lower elastic body 2 to form the pad material 1. The upper elastic body 3 may be pre-formed and bonded to the lower elastic body 2 with an adhesive or the like, or the upper elastic body 3 may be placed in advance by inserting it into the lower die 12 of the mold with the upper surface facing downward. Then, by inserting the elastic chip 2' from the lower side of the upper elastic body 3, that is, from above the lower mold 12, and hot pressing, the lower elastic body 2 integrally joined to the upper elastic body 3 is obtained. You can. In this case as well, a plurality of recesses 7 are formed on the bottom side of the lower elastic body 2 as described above.

The above is the configuration of an embodiment of the seat cushion according to the present invention. According to this configuration, the lower elastic body 2 of the pad material 1 can be attached to the seat cushion frame 4 as shown in FIG. The upper end of the coil spring 8 attached to the spring member 5 is inserted into the recess 7 provided on the bottom side of the lower elastic body 2. Since the recess 7, which is formed hard, functions as a support material, there is no need to provide a separate support material.
