Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve an efficiency of the finishing work by shaving by a method wherein a spring constant and a moment of inertia of a regulating mechanism are set so that a frequency of detected meshing error is made coincide with a resonance frequency enabling a meshing tangential force maximum. CONSTITUTION:Rotating angle pulse signals Q1, Q2 of the rotary shaft 18 of the gear 11 to be shaved and a rotary shaft 14 of a cutter 12 shaving the gear 11 to be shaved are inputted into a wave processing section of a data processor 22 from encoders 19, 20 to output a dynamic meshing error signal R. The spring constant C and the moment of inertia I of the regulating mechanism 17 are regulated so that the decomposed frequency of the signal R is coincided with the resonance frequency omegac=(I/C)<1/2>r2/z2 (here, z2 and r2 are a number of teeth and a pitch circle diameter of the cutter 12) of the tangential force between the gear 11 to be shaved and the shaving cutter 12 and a speed of a pitch circle. The shaving is repeated with respect to the respective frequencies, therefore, the large tangential force may be obtained and the accuracy as well as the working efficiency of the finishing by the shaving may be improved.
