Abstract

PURPOSE: To modify thermal stress of a body of a power accumulator by forming a steam chamber between an inner container and the body of the power accumulator.
CONSTITUTION: An inner container 9 is provided concentrically in a body 1 of a power accumulator to form a steam chamber 8. The steam chamber 8 is made a steam heat insulating layer by a connecting hole 12. Saturated water in a container 2 is heated by a blow-off pipe 5 of a steam conducting pipe 4 for heating. When a steam valve 7 is quickly opened to feed steam to outside, pressure in the container rapidly goes down, but the temperature in the steam chamber 8 does not go down so quickly as the heat conductivity of steam is small and no steam flows. By such constitution, the temperatue of the body 1 is gradually decreased, and thermal stress can be modified. The power accumulator can be thus high-temperatured and high-pressurized and its capacity can be enlarged.
