Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform condensation treatment of NH3 cycle that can cope with sea water leakage by adding a simple regeneration operation to a desalting process of using a cation exchange resin layer and a mixed bed type ion exchange resin layer.
CONSTITUTION: The condensate of a boiler etc. is flowed into a desalting tower 1 from its upper part and at normal time it is taken out through an outflow pipe 9 from the approximate intermediate part of a mixed bed type ion exchange resin layer MB. At this time, iron oxide etc. are removed by a cation exchange resin layer CRs. In the event of sea water leakage, a valve 26 is closed and a valve 27 is opened to flow the treated water to the under layer part of the layer MB and is treated in the part where the exchange resins are held of H type right after regeneration. The regeneration is performed separately by separating both cation and anion exchange resins to prevent the reverse regeneration that occurs in the mixed state.
