Abstract
PURPOSE: To avoid the effect due to variance of atmospheric pressure, by providing a pressure difference detector which obtains the pressure difference between a received pressure diaphragm and a diaphragm, compensating atmospheric pressure provided with atmospheric pressure, with a liquid level detection section.
CONSTITUTION: A detection section 12 consisting of a received pressure diaphragm 14 receiving head of measured liquid, diaphragm 15 with atmospheric pressure compensation and pressure difference detector 16, is installed at the bottom of a water storage tank 1. Further, the output of the detector 16 is delivered to a relay box 13 with a signal cable 21 in a protective pipe 20 having atmospheric pressure inlet 22. Taking the water depth of the tank 1 as (h) and the density of liquid as γ, since atmospheric pressure P0 is given to the diaphragm 15 via a liquid 18 and pressure P0+hγ is fed to the diaphragm 14 via a sealing liquid 17 respectively, the detector 16 detects the pressure difference hγ only, and the liquid level can be measured without being subjected to the effect of variance of the atmospheric pressure P0.
