Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress formation of sulfur and resolve operation difficulty dependent upon stuck solid matters, by generating a vertical circulating flow in the neutralization tank under existence of higher alcohol difficult to dissolve in the neutralization reaction system of waste liquid and by agitating it.
CONSTITUTION: Since agitation is necessary to disperse higher alcohol uniformly in the neutralization tank, a vertical circulating flow is formed by liquid circulating jet dependent upon the pump. In one execution example, waste liquid is supplied from supply tube 1 to neutralization tank 3, and sulfuric acid containing higher alcohol is supplied from supply tube 2 so that the value of pH meter 4 may be held 4 or more. Waste liquid is neutralized in neutralization tank 3 to generate gas, and this gas is agitated and is sent to hydrogen sulfide storage tank 8. The neutralized liquid in neutralization tank 3 is circulated by pump 5 and is so drawn out that the liquid level of neutralization tank 3 may be held. After the neutralized liquid is sent to deairing tank 10 connected to neutralization tank 3 and uniform pressure tube 9 and residual gas has been removed, it is sent to normal waste water disposal equipment 11.
