CONSTITUTION: When refuse incineration ashes is charged into an electric furnace and melted to discharge and solidify metal, Si or an Si source such as silica sand is added so that the amount of Si is adjusted to about ≥10% to the amount of metal. Thus, the P and Cu contents of the metal are reduced to about ≤1%. Accordingly, the discharged and solidified metal can be utilized as steel making scrap material as it is.
