Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve temperature characteristic at a low cost with simple constitution, by bonding a high molecular substance, changing greatly at a specified temperature, to at least one surface of a piezoelectric oscillator. CONSTITUTION:To quartz oscillator 1, excited electrodes 2 and 2' and high molecular substances 3a and 3b are bonded. High molecular substances 3a and 3b may be bonded to both surfaces of oscillator 1 and in this case, stress can be generated in the surface direction. Because of the bonding of high molecular substances 3a and 3b, the oscillation frequency at the low temperature side increases and low-temperature-side frequency-temperature characteristics of oscillator 1 are flattened, so that fluctuations of the frequency based upon temperature variation can be suppressed.
