Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure a simplified control for an oscillator, by using the variable reactance element for a part of the load capacity of a quartz oscillator. CONSTITUTION:The capacitors 52, 57 and 58 plus the diode 53 are connected in series to the piezoelectric element 1 as the load capacity. With application of the control voltage 56 to the diode 53, the impedance of the diode 53 varies in response to the change of the control voltage. Thus the oscillation frequency varies. As a result, both the structure and control can be simplified for an oscillator without using particularly a diode having a proper linearity.
