Abstract
PURPOSE:To omit the balancing of a rotation shaft in the actual place by calculating the residual unbalance in each rotor and the vibrational influence to the shaft system after the connection of rotors for correcting the balance by a correction weight. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 9 is driven by a driving device 10 variable in the speed, and vibration signals taken out by vibration sensors 11 and 12 are transmitted to a data-processing unit 16 via a vibrometer 15. Then, after the driving device 10 is connected with a generator rotor 2, the same measurement is carried on. On the basis of unbalanced frequencies of actual measurements in a turbine rotor 1 and the generator rotor 2, the residual unbalance is calculated individually for each rotor, and using factors related to the vibration characteristic of a shaft system constructed by connecting the rotors 1 and 2, an unbalanced vibration response is calculated. When the calculated value of the vibration response exceeds the allowable level, the weight to the connected shaft system is corrected.
