Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve cooling efficiency by a method wherein fan guides, to be provided in such way that it is leading to a stator winding end section, is consisted of synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Fan guides 22 and 23 are provided between air inlets 18 and 19 located in a housing 1 and a stator winding 9 end section. These fan guides are made of synthetic resin, so they have a smaller temperature conduction coefficient as compared with an iron plate, thereby enabling to lessen the amount of heat which will be conducted to the fan quides 22 and 23 from a stator winding 9 and passing through a fixed core 8 and an outer frame 2 and the heat thus conducted reaches to end covers 3 and 4. As these covers 3 and 4 are directly contacting the open air, they are cooled easily. Hence, cooling efficiency can be improved.
